This past weekend I had the privilege of attending DestinyFest 2025—and I can confidently say it was one of the most powerful growth experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Last year I attended with a Gold ticket, which was fantastic. But this year, I upgraded to VIP, and it changed everything.
And when the main event rolled around—with more than 2,000 people in attendance—it wasn’t just bigger. It was deeper, more intentional, and in my opinion, twice as powerful.

- Relationships over pitching. Deals don’t happen through cold approaches—they happen through trust, connection, and referrals.
- Nuance is everything. Successful leaders don’t always do new things, but they do common things with excellence and precision.
- Data + intuition. Follow your gut, but track the numbers. Data can show you when you’re accelerating—or standing still.
- Patience matters. Technology has made us expect instant results, but real breakthroughs come from playing the long game.
- AI as a tool. Used with integrity, AI isn’t a crutch—it’s a powerful collaborator.
And perhaps most importantly: your story matters. It’s the one thing nobody else can replicate, and when shared with authenticity, it connects people in profound ways.
Lessons from the Main Event
The main event was buzzing with energy—more than 2,000 people and some of the most inspiring speakers: Jim Kwik, Dr. Benjamin Hardy, Danielle LaPorte, Lisa Johnson, Alex Cattoni, Sally Hogshead, Adele Devlin, Aleric Heck, Staci Gray, Amanda Dobson, Jeremy Stickney and more.
Here are a few of the takeaways that stuck with me:
- Your life is the sum total of your choices. Every decision moves you toward or away from your goals.
- Think from the goal, not of the goal. Your future vision becomes the filter for decisions you make today.
- Set impossible goals. They force you to change how you operate—linear paths won’t cut it.
- Saying no is essential. The most successful people decline almost everything that isn’t aligned.
- Business vs. brand. Business is what you sell. Brand is how you make people feel.
- Joy is a magnet. It’s not something you wait for—it’s what attracts opportunities to you.
- Destiny isn’t a checklist—it’s a frequency. You don’t tick boxes to find it—you align with it.
- Don’t be a passenger in your dream. Become a conscious architect. Stop drifting, start directing.
One theme that ran through everything: simplicity. Complexity is the enemy of progress. If you want to play at a higher level, simplify your systems, your focus, and your message.
Event Strategy: How to Make the Most of Any Conference
It wasn’t just the speakers that made the experience powerful. It was how I prepared and followed through:
- Act immediately. Send the message, make the connection, register for the thing on the spot.
- Create a follow-up list. Have a special place in your notes for things you’ll revisit after the event.
- Schedule review time. Without review, you’ll lose most of what you learned in a week. With it, you’ll retain up to 80–90%.
- Dress with intention. Show up as your future self, not your “default.”
- Go VIP if you can. The conversations, food, and access are worth it.
